Graphical filtering: parallel coordinates plot
This useful graph not only displays the results but also can be used to further select designs.
A parallel coordinates plot is a way of visualizing high-dimensional datasets. It is very useful at EFFEX' software, as it allows us to visualize thousands of designs and assess the trade-off between competing characteristics of the design.
The image below is a screenshot of a particular catalog search in the software.
Importantly, the parallel coordinate plot in the software is interactive. This is, a user can make a more refined filtering of the designs by imposing vertical constraints on the criteria. Below this paragraph you can find an interactive graph, feel free to play with it!
